All about us. We are the commercial organisation that delivers the Motability Scheme to 860,000 customers in the UK, helping them to access independent mobility. Our customers exchange their qualifying mobility allowance to choose a vehicle as part of our all-inclusive package. We are Motability Operations Ltd, an independent company responsible for the finance, administration and maintenance of the Motability Scheme. All Scheme vehicles are leased by us, and we’re authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.No, you’re not able to buy the Motability Scheme vehicle at the end of your lease.

The Motability Scheme offers an affordable way for disabled people to lease a new car, wheelchair-accessible vehicle, scooter or powered wheelchair. Who is eligible for Motability?
You can get a Motability car or vehicle if you’ve been awarded: the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) or War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. If you have difficulty with everyday tasks or getting around You might be able to get: Disability Living Allowance (DLA) if you’re under 16 – check if you can get DLA. Personal Independence Payment (PIP) if you’re 16 or over and haven’t reached State Pension age – check if you can get PIP.
