Does Turo need a credit card?

How does Turo pay?
How payment works. It typically takes our payment processor, Stripe, three business days to confirm and process payment. Once Stripe has confirmed, Turo will initiate payment to you in your native currency. If you have a trip that lasts longer than a week, we’ll make weekly partial payments. Pay later. When Turo will charge you for a “Pay later” trips depends on how far in advance you booked the trip: booked three to 13 days in advance = full amount charged two days before the trip starts.If you add pickup/return, we’ll charge half of any pickup/return fee. Improper return fee – Turo may charge you a $50* improper return fee if you fail to respond to requests to return a vehicle, abandon a vehicle, force a trip cancellation, or for other reasons we determine plus an additional Turo administrative fee.If Turo cancels a trip two days or less in length, hosts receive half of one day’s average trip price (based on host’s chosen protection plan) and half of any delivery fee. Host’s share of Extras and half of any delivery fee are always refunded if the guest fails to show up for the trip.If you file a chargeback with your payment provider, Turo will restrict your account, and you’ll be unable to extend in-progress trips or book future trips. Turo may recover the vehicle for your in-progress trip, and you’ll be responsible for recovery costs.Late return fee – If you return a vehicle two hours or more past the trip’s scheduled end time, your host can charge you a $20* fee, in addition to the cost of your additional use of the vehicle. No Smoking policy violation fee –Neither you nor your passengers may smoke in any vehicle on Turo.
