Is BMW in DTM?
BMW has announced that it will run two factory-supported cars in the DTM in 2025, down from three entries last year. Both Rene Rast and Marco Wittmann will return to the German championship this year to pilot the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO entered by Schubert Motorsport. Nine premium manufacturers and an international field featuring 24 of the world’s best drivers from 12 different countries will take on the challenge of the DTM, going head to head in cars from Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.
Did Audi leave DTM?
Audi is set to leave the DTM championship at the end of this year, having first entered the series in 1990. It arrived in some style with the 4. V8 saloon, and won its debut season. Mercedes will leave the German Touring Car (DTM) championship at the end of next year and enter the electric Formula E series in the 2019/20 season, the carmaker announced on Monday.
